I got an xbox 360 kinecr with power supply and usb adapter. After plugging it in and installing the 1.8 SDK and developer toolkit it shows a blinking green light. The background remover shows the "plug my power cord in" message and device manager only shows "kinect for windows device. Is there a fix for this problem or is the hardware broken?
Is it possible to use an Xbox 360 kinect in a Xbox One S? I know it is possible to use it in Windows but I don't know if its possible to use it with an adapter in the Xbox One. Archived post. strip the insulation from the wires. grab your soldering gun and some solder. and solder the 2 wires together. heat shrink the soldering. dip it in some candle wax to cover any wire that may still be exposed. reverse the tear down. ta-da!

The XBox One Kinect is completely different technology from the XBox 360 Kinect. It will not work with openni2.
